Ram Tire Company was founded in 1971 by Nathan Weinstein and Alan Fox to sell Texaco gasoline. In the next few years the business changed due to the economy and the ever-changing community around us. So each year for the next few years we began selling more and more tires, and in 1977 stopped selling gasoline altogether. With Nate getting on in years, and the business growing at a rapid pace, Alan bought him out in 1976.
In 1995, Ram Tire and six other tire dealers started a buying group for the purpose of obtaining better and stronger purchasing power. Since then, we have added other tire dealers, and as of October 2002, we now have 213 stores in 6 states. They are California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Colorado, and New Mexico. The total sales of the combined group are now in excess of $200 million for the year of 2014.
In 1995, Ram Tire went through a total renovation. We made our new building three stories, with the top floor as storage. We have inventory between 8,000 and 10,000 tires all the time. We have state-of-the-art alignment system and feature the finest in tire changing equipment. At Ram Tire we can do alignments from 13" to 26" wheels. We offer an open pit rack that allows us to work on the lowest, dropped cars and lifted trucks with ease.
In 2007, the Chung Family led by President William bought the business from Alan Fox. Today, Ram Tire sells on average about 10,000 tires per month, which means that we are able to give our customers the best, competive prices with our bulk buying and selling. We will also continue to strive to provide our customers with excellent service in this ever-changing business.
